There is not much of a privacy policy at dpora because not much of your information is saved. Every time you submit a comment, it overwrites your last comment. There is no history of comments saved. dpora also does not collect personal information from you, like an email address, phone number, IP address or any a/v media (i.e., photo, audio, video).

In order for the system to function properly, your device is assigned a randomized and unique ID string of characters. This string is viewable on your device by clicking on the menu icon and scrolling down to the bottom. This string is necessary in the system in order to assign you to an available group and so that your comments show up in that group. After 10 minutes of inactivity, within an active group, your ID string is deleted from that group in order to make room for another group member.

The only information dpora saves that’s associated to your device ID is the number of “boots” you have and when the last boot occurred. A boot occurs when everyone in your group mutes you. This is to deter & stop abusive users and offensive comments. If you accumulate 3 boots, you will be banned from participating for 24 hours. If you have any boots (more than zero), and do not receive another one within a 24-hour span, a boot will be subtracted from your total. See https://dpora.com/stop for more info about how this feature works.
